Why Am I Writing?

I am an operations manager. I build human organizations - operational platforms where people can flourish.

I have been creating and scaling up tech organizations for the past 20 years.

The organizations I build are a habitat for my people, their dreams, struggles, triumphs and self improvement (also mine).

People and their managers are what propels the hyper growth, the scale up and the success of the 21st century most emblematic type of organizations — startups, unicorns.

So, why am I writing?

I write because I love people.

I write because I love to explore the symbiotic relationship between the strict needs of a business organization and the soul of the amazingly smart and sensible people that are the organization.

These souls create the so fragile but so strong silk threads that make the spider web we call our workplace.

My role as a leader consists of orchestrating the strategic building of this web.

But hey, if you are a manager long enough — you already know, that the strategic execution is made of smaller day to day decisions and thoughts

So, why are we here?

Our actions and thoughts as managers are what knit these silk threads into a strong spider web — a shinny, flexible and durable organization that eventually creates innovation and happiness.

Here, I will share with you moments of my professional life, hoping to build with you a net of trust — a playground for thinking and improving together as a managers.

Welcome to my mind! :-)

My ID

I am 45. Born in Buenos Aires, grew up in Israel, proudly studied in the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and the Catholic University of Leuven.

I live with 2 funny kids who never stop running and talking, a cat that focuses on turning food into fur and the most amazing woman in the world.

Last but not least, I’m the VP Operations of Pagaya. Pagaya is a FinTech company revolutionizing the way that wealth and dreams are nourished (and funded) worldwide by means of machine learning and smart operations.
